The WINENET projects was designed to strengthen collaboration between the university and research centers, institutions and firms by developing a network that permits real time information exchange, especially those located long distances from one another.
This network has the final purpose of improving wine quality and its marketing by carrying out the following activities: a laboratorial network to be utilized for sensorial analyses and innovative technology information, the creation of new viticultural models; to introduce innovative wine production techniques such as DMR and grape drying, algorithmic evaluation of the wine production chain; the implemation of new marketing techniques (communication and information), including innovative studies on consumer choice. More importantly, the project foresees coordinared events, project management and the publication of all results (communication plan).
