The goal of the IDAGO project is to improve the connections with the not easily accessible places by introducing the shuttle bus as alternative means of transport and by increasing the life standards of the inhabitants in order to create/make an interurban and touristic cycling and to increase the hiking. According to these aims there are going to be renovated two important info and starting points in the program: the multipurpose buildings/centers in Planina pod Golico (Slovenia) and at the Fusine Lakes (Italy).
The planned activities:
- Purchase and rental shuttle buses, purchase of bicycles and houses/sheds for the storage of bicycles
- Bus lines to inaccessible places
- Renovation and enlargement of multipurpose centers in Planina pod Golico in Slovenia and at the Lakes of Fusine in Italy, as info and starting points for hiking
- Marketing of the project
- Information and advertising
The results of the project:
- Rental / purchase of two eco shuttle buses
- Extraordinary bus routes to rural locations not easily accessible : Jesenice - Javorniški Rovt, Jesenice - Planina pod Golico, Jesenice - Kranjska Gora - Tarvisio, Tarvisio - Fusine Lakes
- 5 areas organized as an extension of existing bike paths with essential facilities for the storage of bikes and bike rental
- 60 bicycles with special equipment for the 5 areas
- 1 multi-functional building, renovated for the needs of the inhabitants and for the tourism in Planina pod Golico
- Improvement of bus stops in Planina pod Golico
- 1 thematic route around the Fusine Lakes
- reconstruction of a part of the building near the Lakes of Fusine
