The project aims to achieve integrated measures to ensure optimal care of patients at risk for life in the cross-border region, as outlined in Priority Axis 3. The overall objective of the project is to improve the quality of life by ensuring a coordinated development of emergency medical assistance, by providing for cross-border activities in the following:
- harmonizing the organization of participating emergency medical units with the reciprocal transfer of best practices;
- standardizing and raising the professional qualification of medical staff, taking into account international standards and guidelines;
- facilitating an equal access of population to deficient medical services through the provision of distant medical assistance in emergency interventions through the use of ICT (teleconsultation);
- improving the logistics system to transfer the patients more efficiently among the institutions in the border region through the use of ICT.
