The project aims to reduce the risks to the environment and biodiversity through the implementation of structural and non material initiatives aimed at improving the design and management of sewerage systems in the cross.
These initiatives include updating the one hand, the arrangement and enhancement of networks for waste water management, with the municipalities of Tolmin and Moimacco other hand the organization of study and research, exchange of experiences, sharing of best practices and dissemination of results that will be implemented in a wider area in Slovenia and Italy (Veneto and Emilia Romagna).
The direct effects of this project (and 5 other related projects evaluated in the same announcement) will affect the Isonzo river basin, on which are continuously measured pollution due to reduced capacity for wastewater management in the border region that adversely affect the environmental balance of the whole Northern Adriatic.
