OPEN MUSEUM is aimed at strengthening and enhancing the role and knowledge of culture in order to achieve a sustainable economic development based on knowledge and promotion of cultural heritage, a fundamental resource of the program area.
The planned activities are:
WP1 Coordination,
WP2 Definition of methodologies and guidelines for the joint museum management,
WP3 Organization and definition of innovative exhibition routes based on the use of Information Technology’s techniques,
WP4 Enabling of didactic and educational workshops within museum reality,
WP5 Creating a network of open museums of the Italian - Slovenian area,
WP6 Definition of a marketing plan,
WP 7 Preparatory activities,
WP8 Communication activities.
The total duration of the project is 36 months and its total cost is € 3,856,000.00. The activities will be located in the Castello Estense (Ferrara), MAR (Ravenna), Provincial Museum (Gorizia) Great Rivers Museum (Rovigo), Museum of Torcello (Venice), Ljubljana Museum, Maritime Museum of Piran and its headquarters stationed in the Museum of Saline from Sicciole, the Koper Regional Museum, Aquileia, the Museum of Kobarid and the Museums of Archaeology and Risorgimento (Udine).
