  • Description: This project aims at consolidating and intensifying socio-economic cooperation and cultural exchanges among coastal communities facing the Upper Adriatic, to promote integration among peoples and the historical heritage, with particular reference to architecture. The project aims at identifying and promoting among the local sea, shore, and coastal cultures the marks and the presence of traditions, bonds, and values of the past, in order to foster a revival of the historical and cultural heritage shared by Veneto and the nearby Republic of Slovenia. Project objectives include the development of shipbuilding activities and port infrastructures located in the Upper Adriatic area, cooperation, technology transfer and the establishment of new entrepreneurial activities in the field of the conservation and restoration of the cultural heritage. The project for the revival and promotion of coastal folk culture translates into a historicalscientific process leading to the drawing up of studies, publications, events and cultural activities of a cross-border nature.
