  • Description: This project is intended as a cross-border project in the field of education. It aims at fostering cooperation among primary schools in the cross-border area through sports activities. Several schools take part in the initiative called “Sports Day” for both students and teachers. Teachers are invited to attend preliminary meetings where to share ideas and discuss their professional activity, in order to ensure the effectiveness of this initiative, that will be assessed and evaluated at the end of the project. The main objective of the Sports Day consists in making all the participants acquainted with various sports while taking active part in them in a non-competitive context: the sea, fishing and sailing, basic notions of table tennis and chess. It is an opportunity to plunge into the natural environment and to go hiking or engage in speleological activities. The resulting school network becomes the tool to facilitate deeper mutual knowledge, collaboration and socialising.
