  • Description: This training project falls within the framework of environmental issues and risks that loom on the Italian- Slovenian cross-border area, with special emphasis on the policies to be implemented to safeguard the environment and eco-compatible development. The ecomanager is a figure that stems from the growing need on the part of Italian-Slovenian enterprises to rely on qualified personnel who can identify environmental issues and the economic repercussions that environmental protection generates on the company itself, ensuring the safeguard of the environment throughout the production process, ranging from project design to the sale of the end product. Therefore the ecomanager works for the improvement of production systems and environmental quality, deals with logistics, marketing, legal affairs, minimising production waste and pollution levels recorded in the production phase, in addition to being responsible for the optimisation of energy consumption and the introduction of production processes with low/better environmental impact. This figure is crucial for the functioning of the management system adopted by the companies; his/her skills - both technical and managerial - include production process control for a reduction of emissions and energy saving; the design, installation, control and management of new environmentally friendly technologies; the recovery of scraps and waste to be re-used for production purposes; research aimed at process innovation, energy saving and recovery.
