  • Description: The “LACJIO DROM” initiative develops a multidisciplinary approach in several different sectors, with regard to the quality of typical local products, ensuring respect for the rural environment; all of which, in a framework of integrated planning suitable for restauration and improvement of the cultural landscape on a wide area and in order to enliven the rural economy. The main purpose of the project is working out new methods and tests to perform an integrated territorial planning, to be shared within the Euroregion, enhancing the local peculiarities through the exchange of experience and communication, networking firms with new channels (firms, research institutes, public authorities, schools, associations, large distribution, sector fairs). This initiative aims at connecting the primary productive fabric of typical, organic and biodynamic production with its most significant artistic, historical and cultural elements for promotional purposes (portal, brochure, TV programme). An important part of the project is also the testing, in cooperation with the university, of niche (zootechnical, vegetable, bee, officinal plants and conservation) products, to be used in the food, health and well-being sectors. Finally a network will be set up between schools and the firms of the primary sector, that are going to play the role of an “educational gym”, equipped with “green classrooms” and agro-environmental and animal welfare centres, where information will be provided about the techniques and cycle of production, production processing and certification systems. The promotion of organic products will be organized with thematic days and trade fairs, entering the promotional network already existing in the territory and carrying out a survey on consumers to register their approach, assessment and purchase behaviours.
