  • Description: The Project aims at setting up a network of cross-border thematic itineraries and pathways, in order to relaunch the tourist offer of the area of reference. Two options are available. The first one concerns the setting up of the “service system”, which is necessary for a coordinated and cohesive management, and the preparation of the “logical framework” required to define activities, results and objectives and to periodic assessment. The second one includes the creation of a network of cross-border routes and thematic itineraries to increase the visibility of “lesser” tourist destinations, which so far have remained at the margins of tourist flows, in spite of their historical-archaeological and landscape appeal. This leads to a unified tourist offer in the cross-border area, through the establishment of a single system of itineraries including existing ones and a new network of thematic routes so as to diversify the tourist offer and enhance lesser destinations. The historicalarchaeological, naturalistic, wine and food tasting itineraries play a key role in the planning of an “open-air museum”, that is to say a system bringing together different aspects of one single context. The project also envisages a joint promotion, through the publication of brochures and of a tourist guide and the organization of events in the area of reference.
